The identification of the Roswell debris with Project Mogul Flight 4 is one of the strongest elements of the conventional explanation for the 1947 incident, but it is not as definitive as it is sometimes presented. The Flight 4 identification emerged primarily during the US Air Force’s reinvestigation of Roswell in the 1990s.
